Yoga, Usury, Penance and Patience

This episode of What Catholics Believe covers the following questions:  • When a priest gives penance, does it fully satisfy God’s justice for those sins which were confessed?  • Did Pius XII make a mistake in forming the IOR (The Institute for the Works of Religion)?  • What is the Church’s position on yoga (and martial arts / karate)?  • How does one make the Sign of the Cross when one does not have the use of their right arm?  • Should one have a reasonable expectation that someone is open and willing to listen before one approaches them about the Catholic Faith?  • Is it a sin to buy Sacraments as it is to sell them?  • What sin is committed by obtaining Holy Orders from a known unworthy bishop in order to propagate the Faith?  • What are the differences between sins against our neighbors and sins against Our Lord and His Church?  • And, finally, a brief reflection on The Gentle Saint, St. Francis de Sales.
