Charlie Kirk Tribute

"I grew up in a society where I felt I had to keep my faith, beliefs and political opinions quiet because nobody else was speaking up, and if someone did, they were shamed by the majority left. Charlie Kirk was the first person to change that for me. To see a young person, just like me, so outspoken and strong in not only his conservative views but his love for God and his Faith, was incredibly inspiring. He started his civil dialogue with a table and students passing by on their way to class and to see what he ended with is just a testament to how powerful he was in giving young conservatives a voice that we never felt we had before. Watching him speak so directly, without fear of backlash, showed me that conviction is not something to hide but something to live out proudly. His bravery reminded me that defending truth, faith, and freedom is not only possible in today’s culture but necessary. Charlie’s example has made me more steadfast, more willing to speak up, and more confident that living by God’s principles is a strength, not a weakness. In an interview he said that when he dies, he wants to be remembered by how strong he was in his Faith and as a warrior for Christ, he absolutely will be. I pray for the repose of his soul and for the wellbeing of his wife and two little babies."

"I’m going to take with me a quote that he said over and over that has really stuck with me since the first time I heard it. “When people stop talking, is when violence starts."

“The way he fearlessly stood up for Christian values - most notably in defense of the traditional family dynamic and unborn lives - has inspired myself and other young Catholics to staunchly defend the faith in times when we may fear retaliation. I earnestly pray, and urge others to pray, for the repose of his soul and for his wife and children who will have to grow up without a father.”
